Student Council
The purpose of Student Council is to serve the needs of the students, teachers and school in general. It is also to build a sense of the democratic process with the students and to develop a practical sense of rights and responsibilities. The Council is made up of Officers and Commissioners elected from the 8th grade class, and one representative from each of the homerooms.

Junior Great Books
This is an extra-curricular reading and discussion program which is offered to children who are scholastically eligible. The program is designed specifically to enrich the intellectual life of the child. The rewards to be derived from such a program are invaluable.

CSAL sponsors Open and Trophy Speech Meets for 7th and 8th graders. Individual students compete against other students in the Archdiocese in the categories of speechmaking, impromptu, reader's theater, oral interpretation and drama.

National Geographic Geography Bee
Beginning at the school level, students in fourth through eighth grade have the opportunity to participate in the annual National Geographic Geography Bee. The winner from our school then completes a written exam. The top 100 scores from the written test move on to the State level. Winners of the State Bee move on to the national level held in Washington, D.C. Participants show great knowledge of maps, capitals and current world events.

National Junior Honor Society
Sts. Peter and Paul School is a member of the National Junior Honor Society which is open to 7th and 8th graders who maintain and encourage high standards of: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

Eighth graders put together our yearbook using templates on the computer. To offset the cost of the yearbook, eighth graders also sell advertisements. Many hours of learning go into the production of the yearbook. Meetings are held after school with a parent acting as advisor.

Students in grades 4 - 6 are eligible to participate in the Archdiocesan Spelling Bees. Meetings are held after school to help prepare students. There is an intermediate and advanced bee. This is a great opportunity for all students.
